Violin

Music has been the constant thread through my entire life.

Royal Academy of Music

I studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, one of the world's leading conservatoires. The experience was transformative—not just technically, but in how I think about performance, interpretation, and what it means to truly communicate through music.

At the Royal Academy, I worked with world-class teachers and performed alongside some of the most talented musicians I've ever met. Chamber music became a passion—there's something incredible about the intimacy and collaboration required to make music work in a small ensemble.

Background

I started playing violin at six years old in Seattle. My early training was at Ballard High School, where I was part of the orchestra program. Those years taught me discipline, but also showed me how powerful live performance could be.

The violin isn't just an instrument for me—it's how I learned to think critically, work hard, and appreciate beauty in details. Those lessons carry over into everything I do, from building CultureTicks to approaching any creative challenge.
